About the album

In a perfect world, Npcede wouldn’t exist.

Much-discussed Naarm/Melbourne trio Npcede release their debut self-titled EP on 9 May 2024.

Npcede combine dark 80s industrial elements with modern electronic, noise, rap and pop influences. First single Spleen (released 29 Jan 2025) has an irresistible swagger to it, darkly compelling even as it details modern life’s more repellent aspects. “Spleen explores the existential melancholy that results from the conditions of contemporary life,” says Npcede bassist Roy Moore. “Sleepwalking, wanking and listless scrolling online all become symptoms of modern indecision.”

Spleen features an astounding high-tech video created by Npcede vocalist Victor Moore, set in a bleakly erotic near-future dystopia. Make sure you watch to the end for the full impact!

Npcede formed in late 2022 around young brothers Victor and Roy Moore and childhood friend Zac Hellyer, all playing in their first band ever. Their debut EP is five monumental songs of alienation, revulsion and maniacal energy. It was mixed and mastered by Guy Louis Faletolu (Mall Rat, Amyl & the Sniffers, Teether & Kuya Neil).

Npcede are an overwhelming live experience. They have played The Eighty Six Festival, Now Or Never and SXSW Sydney, and have shared stages with Radio Free Alice, Teether, Gut Health, Shady Nasty, CLAMM and Fabulous Diamonds. They play Meadow Festival in March 2025.

“I liked the band Npcede…the music was giving Nitzer Ebb meets Sigur Ros with King Krule vocals” – Them Jeans, How Long Gone Podcast
“If you like your music dark, heavy, and industrial, this is the one for you” – The AU
