Laura Jean shortlisted for the AMP

Melbourne folk auteur Laura Jean‘s incredible self-titled album has been shortlisted for the 2014 Australian Music Prize.

Alongside records by the likes of Total Control, Blank Realm and Chet Faker, Laura Jean is just one of nine to make the prestigious shortlist. The nomination sees Laura in contention to join hallowed company like Eddy Current Suppresion Ring, the Drones and Lisa Mitchell as winner of the $30,000 prize.

Winners will be announced in early March.
