Guy Blackman

Chapter Music co-honcho in solo bard mode.

Guy Blackman began his illustrious musical career in twee Perth band Sulk (1992-95).

In Perth, he also released solo material under the name Riot Guy (1994-95).

Moving to Melbourne in 1995, Guy continued with Sleepy Township (1994-2002) and Minimum Chips (1998-now).

As a solo artist under his own name, he plays MOR ballads filled with sly humour, disarming honesty and slightly creepy sexual elements.

He released the EP Guy Blackman in Japan in 2004, after spending 18 months living in Tokyo. In 2008 he released his debut solo album Adult Baby via another Melbourne label, Unstable Ape. Now Adult Baby has returned to its natural home of Chapter Music.
